MONTHLY TUITION (REGULAR DANCE SEASON)

By taking multiple classes, individual dancers & families benefit from great reduced rates as explained at the bottom of the table.

*****Tuition is the same every month for convenience purposes whether it is a short or long month - we have calculated the cost for the YEAR and divided into 11 equal payments to make life easier for our families. (August-June). We do not prorate for missed classes, but all dancers are welcome to make-up missed classes at their convenience - contact us for an appropriate make up classes anytime!

All dance families place a credit/debit card on file at the time of registration, but you CAN pay by another method if you choose - this simply requires that we receive payment by check or money order (no cash) by the close of business on the 1st (or, if this falls on a Sunday, Monday, or Studio Holiday, we'd need to receive it by 6pm on the business day prior). Each dance family has 24/7 access to their account and can check their balances by signing in here. Any account balance for the month will AUTOMATICALLY be charged to the card on file at roughly 10:00pm on the 1st, and because it is an electronic operation, processing still occurs if the 1st is a Sunday or Holiday. 98% of our customers use auto-pay every month, but for those who prefer check or money order - that's no problem! (as long as it’s received in time as explained above).

If the card is declined, or check does not clear, you'll be notified and will have until the 10th to pay in full by alternate method ($25 fee for returned checks). After the 10th, a $15 late fee is automatically assigned to the account, and after the 20th, the student unfortunately will not be permitted to take class until the account, including any late fees, is paid in full. Most often this occurs due to expired/stolen cards and you can change those at any time by signing in. Please be assured, we have been using this system for three years with no issues - the web payment system is SSL and completely safe.

 BELOW ARE PREMIUM CLASSES FOR UNLIMITED TUITION STUDENTS - charged per student, and are NOT included in Unlimited/Maximum rates. Pilates for students NOT at Unlimited or Maximum Rates is charged at hourly rates shown above.

* Acrobatics & Tumbling: (this supports a maximum class size of 9 students per class): $19.00 per month

* Pilates: $15.00 per month

* "Tuesday Night Surprise Class" for intermediate & advanced JCD/CDS dancers: $15.00per month

LOW HOURLY RATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR INTENSIVE-LEVEL COMPETITION TEAM DANCERS (must be taking all other classes/subjects before being considered for admission): 

* Quartz-Level Alternate-Thursday Classes - for invited JCD Team members: $67.00permonth for 6 additional hours of instruction, and includes the above Acro, Pilates & Tuesday Night Surprise Premium Classes

* Onyx-Level Friday Classes (for pre-professional study/career-track JCD dancers): $140.00 permonth for 18 additional hours of instruction, and includes the above Acro, Pilates, Private Lessons & Tuesday Night Surprise Premium Classes, plus Quartz Level classes which are required for all Onyx Level students.
 
PRIVATE LESSONS ARE COMPLETELY ELECTIVE, AND ARE NOT INCLUDED IN ANY PACKAGES/MAX RATES. PRIVATE LESSONS ARE HELD SEPTEMBER-MAY, AND ARE $612/SEASON(or $69per month) - PAYABLE AT BEGINNING OF SEASON (NON-REFUNDABLE) OR ON A MONTHLY BASIS, ONE MONTH AHEAD (First billing is August, last is April). ***Private lessons are offered only for intensive-level team dancers who are registered for a full regular load of classes.

We do offer convenient even payments, beginning in September of each dance year. After deciding which (or both, as most families do) shows your dancer(s) will participate in, let us know & we can calculate even payments for you. ***All even payments are non-refundable, and Recital costumes remain property of the Colby Center until the final June installment (tuition payment #11) is paid in full.
