Each year we hold a spectacular Holiday Show in December & two amazing Spring Recitals in June, where each student has the opportunity to perform for a live audience and show off what they've learned! These are their days to feel like stars!

We know that nowadays many dance schools have downplayed the "show experience" to their customers because shows can be costly, BUT - without performances, the dancers do not get a chance to perform their art! Our two shows are at opposite ends of the spectrum in cost & formality, but are both true shows performed in front of real audiences, which are invaluable experiences for dancers both in the art of dance, and also in building confidence as young adults! Many of our graduate students cite Recitals as the best experiences they had leading up to college & job interviews, dance auditions, giving oral presentations, and much more!

The Holiday Show is a low-key performance held at the Maitland Civic Center (just across the street from the dance studio) where each dancer performs in a leotard & tights they already own & a simple custom-designed souvenir t-shirt. It is a low-cost, high-fun look at each of our classes!

Our Spring Recital shows are more like the traditional year-end performances that dancers are accustomed to - with high quality costumes & lights, and at our studio, each family receives a DVD of their show to share with friends & family for years to come, a souvenir Recital t-shirt, a Recital Day gift, a Recital program featuring pictures of each class, and MORE! All with NO hassles! The recital experience is low stress at our studio, very little work for our families, but the end result is always highly praised. It is the BIG DAY of the dance year!

We do offer convenient even payments, beginning in September of each dance year. After deciding which (or both, as most families do) shows your dancer(s) will participate in, let us know & we can calculate even payments for you. ***All even payments are non-refundable, and Recital costumes remain property of the Colby Center until the final June installment (tuition payment #11) is paid in full.
