Owner and artistic director, she is well-known across the United States (and Canada) as one of the best young teachers, choreographers, and costume designers for young dancers. She has been a member of the nation’s two leading organizations of dance teachers, Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America for fourteen years. Members of her studio’s performing group, the Jennifer Colby Dancers, have a record of winning that is unsurpassed for a studio's first fourteen years of existence. Jennifer herself has been recognized with hundreds of choreography and costuming awards, served as a competition judge for American Dance Awards, Dance Xplosion, Star Systems, CanDance, Terpsichore and for Dance Masters of America National Title and Performing Arts competitions across the United States and Canada. Additionally, she has choreographed for other dance studios across the Nation and done choreography and costume design for many professional productions. She was Performing Arts Competition Director for five years for Dance Masters of America Florida Chapter 2, directing competitions with hundreds of entries each March and November. In addition to her dance-related experience, she also enjoys creating a state-of-the-art experience for her dancers with on-site digital sound editing capability, video capture & editing, and the use of the latest equipment around to enhance their learning experience. She is proudest that her school is a place with something for everyone, and that her Jennifer Colby Dancers excel in all forms of dance from ballet to hip-hop and that their versatility extends to regularly winning awards for technique, showmanship, and musical interpretation in their dancing.

Shapprell Dallas is a Florida native & co-owner of Top Bodies Fitness. After turning down the opportunity to go to college, she pursued her dreams of becoming an actress/mode & landed a job in Miami, on the hit TV show "Wise Guy" starring actor (Ken Wahl who's films include "ScarFace"). Shapprell was then cast the first female African American Super Hero, "Storm" at Universal Studios, Orlando. With more and more TV shows and auditions coming her way, she decided she'd better get a real serious exercise regimine going to keep in shape. Shapprell soon fell in love with Fitness training, got her certification with "Free Style" by George Snyder, and she and husband Patrick started Top Bodies Fitness! They began training clients from all walks of life. Shortly after Shapprell would participate on the world stage in the Miss Galaxy Fitness competition held in Venice Beach, Ca. and aired on ESPN. Her success in the Miss Galaxy Fitness competition landed her more opportunities back in Orlando, FL. Soon she was hosting her own Exercise TV show, co starring husband Patrick Dallas on the WB network. She also wrote & recorded her own Audio Books Titled "Getting Fit, Before, During, and After Pregnancy" by Shapprell Dallas. She became Fitness Expert for Fox 35 morning News. Shapprell and husband Patrick's company Top Bodies Fitness is the largest fitness company in Central FL and have contracts with Orange County Public Schools, ZRS management company, Hilton Hotel, and more.

"Miss" Ashley is in her sixth year of teaching with us. Before becoming a Colby Center teacher, she trained in our program for 12 years! In her time with us she has become well-known across the Nation for her versatility & ability to literally take over any style of choreography almost instantly. She has travelled across the Nation & Canada to further her studies, and has competed with the JCD Team for 11 years, helping bring in numerous group awards, and individual scholarships, titles and high score awards too numerous to mention - notably DMA's Junior Miss Dance of Florida. At her young age, she has become one of the most popular teachers at the studio as our primary Hip-Hop instructor, pulling confidence and style from every student, beginner-advanced. She is also trained in our syllabus to teach ballet, tap, jazz, and acrobatics! Ashley has also done original choreography for our CDS performance & JCD competition teams, and loves the rewarding experience of watching her students growing and learning to grasp her unusual style!

Juan Sanchez is one of America’s most sought after ballet instructors. His brilliant, exciting, elegant style and his life-long love of ballet have led him to reevaluate his approach of classical ballet training making it easier to learn while building the foundation for a performing career for future generations.
Juan has danced with such leading companies as The Joffrey Ballet, Alvin Ailey Repertory Company, Connecticut Ballet Theatre, Eglevsky Ballet, and in Europe and Canada, Frankfurt State Opera Ballet, and Ontario Ballet Theatre.
Juan J Sanchez is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
Currently Juan teaches, adjudicates, and coaches for most major dance organizations nationally and internationally, with his new approach, bringing classical ballet to new heights.

Wanda has over 15 years of training in all forms of dance. She is a former Disney dancer at the Magic Kingdom performing in parades and numerous special events! She received her early training at the Blanco Ballet School, Bailos-Dance Company, and Ballet Municipal, all in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and is now in her fourteenth year at the Colby Center as one of our most popular teachers, specializing in Ballet & Intro to Dance combination classes.

Miss Leila is in her seventh year teaching with the Colby Center. She has an extensive background in all forms of dance and acrobatics. She is well-known for her fantastic explanations of acrobatic skills, bringing lots of success to our dancers by encouraging the quality of the skills, and encouraging a positive attitude in all of her classes! She is also a favorite in our Intro to Dance combination classes! In addition to her dance background, Miss Leila is a Paul Mitchell School graduate, with expertise in hairstyling & cosmetics.
